BRITNEY SPEARS TO OPEN MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS

Believe it or not, britney spears will be performin in some fashion at sunday's MTV video music awards.

Britnes spears is going to open the MTV music awards. they say britney will not be singing, but that she will be "performing" in some manner.

Van toffler, president o MTV networks music group said in a statement that britney spears will open the show with "something fun unexpected".

After britney's disappointing performance last year where she was overweight and crammed into a risque outfit, and seemed zombie-like and she went through her dance routine, it makes you wonder why they would ask her to lead the show this year?

Britney made a statement saying, "MTV has long played an important role in my career. how can i not be there to kick off their 25th vMAs? i'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to nominated".

Toffler seems to want to allow britney to show her improvement, as well as thinking of the ratings saying, "i think for britney, people are rooting for her, and she's really on the road to recovery".

Spears performance last year proved to give a 26% increase in ratings over the previous year.

Larry rudolph had previously denied that
spears would be performing at this year's VMA's and said it was, "wishful thinking".

Britney has attempted to stay out the media more these days, and is working on a new album

Believe or not, toffler also said they have been in talks with michael jackson on making an appearance.

"We've been talking to him as well i don't know if that's going to happen," he said.
"people fall in and fall out up until the day of the show".
